When you go to Inventory in order to visualize/add/remove the devices, you may receive the error message:
Error in communicating with DCR Server. DCR Server may be down. Please start the DCR Server and then refresh the page.
Solution:
You need to check on your server if there is a network adapter which is set to obtain its IP address via DHCP. If this is the case, either disable the card or configure a static IP address.
If your server doesn't have a 2nd network card, simply stop the "DHCP Client" service and set it to be started manually.
Hi Mehdi
ReplyDeleteI have been using CISCO LMS 3.2. It has been working fine ,but from few hours i am getting error "DCR Server may be down. Please start the DCR Server and then refresh the page"
And i have done all steps as you mentioned here, but am getting same result.Plz suggest by any another way can i remove this error?
Varun, There is not only one reason for DCR server down! It can be because of a corrupted database as well. If reboot doesn't help, you need to see if database is healthy.
